Ideal Weight Table

The following weight table indicates ideal weight by height. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), an increase in 20 percent or more above your ideal body weight is the point at which excess weight becomes a health risk. This weight table does not take into account body frame and build. Those with larger frames will weigh more than those with smaller frames.

Support group meetings are held each Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Woman's Hospital Fitness Center on the corner of Bluebonnet and Jefferson in Baton Rouge.
